  • Since December 2014, Kyle has been mastering the art of tattooing, specializing in blackwork. His distinctive style blends bold, precise outlines with intricate fine-line and dark dotwork detailing. Inspired by nature, the occult, dark imagery, medieval aesthetics, and fandom-related themes, Kyle’s work is as evocative as it is unique.

    Motivated by a vision for inclusivity and ethical practices, Kyle founded The Grey Ash, a vegan-friendly and welcoming tattoo studio where every client feels at home.

    Outside the studio, Kyle enjoys time with his partner, Courtney, and their two huskies, Haku and Rem. He immerses himself in his passions, including video games, anime, skateboarding, music creation, and record collecting. A travel enthusiast, Kyle also incorporates guest spots and convention appearances into his yearly schedule.


  • Courtney co-founded The Grey Ash in 2019 alongside Kyle and transitioned to running the studio full-time in 2022, after years in the corporate marketing world. A committed vegan for over a decade, Courtney is passionate about infusing her values into The Grey Ash, fostering a safe and welcoming space for everyone, and advocating for causes close to her heart.

    Outside the studio, Courtney loves spending quality time with Kyle, their two pups, Haku and Rem, plus, friends and family, while holding the memory of her angel pup, Nanook, close to her heart (pictured above).

    An avid reader, Courtney is always eager for book recommendations—so don’t hesitate to send some her way! She loves attending concerts and having conversations about music, especially when it comes to K-pop and British artists (fair warning: these chats can go on forever). Every year, Courtney visits her favorite city, London, where she has created a home away from home.
